Two Oakland police officers were hospitalized after pursuing an armed robbery suspect vehicle early Thursday morning.
Officers attempted to make a traffic stop of a vehicle matching the description of a car connected to multiple armed robberies in Oakland at 1:31 a.m., according to the Oakland Police Department.
The driver of the suspect vehicle fled and several minutes later, the vehicle ran a stop sign and crashed into a patrol car at 9th Avenue and East 12th Street, police said.
Officers then arrested the driver and a passenger of the suspect vehicle. The suspects were transported to a hospital where they are in stable condition, according to officials.
Two Oakland police officers were also transported to a hospital and they are also in stable condition.
A loaded firearm was recovered from the suspect vehicle, police said.
