Two Pedestrians Hit and Injured in Downtown San Jose, Both Have Life-Threatening Injuries

Two people are in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by two different cars just blocks apart in the South Bay.

Both accidents happened in downtown San Jose early Saturday morning.

The first happened at Julian and San Pedro streets, and the second happened at the corner of 10th and Williams streets.

The first incident at the crosswalk on Julian and San Pedro streets happened around midnight.

About 30 minutes later, another pedestrian was struck by a different car at the corner of South 10th and East William streets.

Both people were taken to Valley Medical and are being treated.

Police said both drivers are in custody.
