Two Robbery Suspects Arrested in Milpitas

Two men suspected of a parking lot robbery at a Milpitas restaurant were arrested and the alleged stolen cash recovered the same day as the crime, police said Friday.

Rashawn Glasgow, 20, and Demonshea Steen, 23, both of Stockton, were arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on April 19 on suspicion of robbery, according to police.

The case began when a man flagged down a police officer around 4 p.m. April 19, saying he had just been robbed of cash in the parking lot of Chili's Grill & Bar on West Calaveras Boulevard, police said.

The fleeing suspects were quickly nabbed with the help of backup officers, according to police.

Glasgow was arrested on nearby Spence Avenue, while Steen sprinted through several residential back yards and was finally apprehended while hiding in a restaurant bathroom, police said. Officers searched the suspects and recovered what police described as the stolen cash.
