Two people were killed in a shooting that ended in a crash in San Francisco's Bayview District Sunday evening, a police spokesman said.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1400 block of La Salle Avenue around 5:15 p.m., Officer Gordon Shyy said.
The victims suffered serious injuries and were transported to a hospital where they were later pronounced dead, he said.
A preliminary investigation showed the victims had been riding on motorcycles and encountered gunfire, according to Shyy.
The victims tried to flee the area and crashed, he said.
Both victims suffered injuries in the crash and one of them suffered a gunshot wound, Shyy said.
The suspect or suspects remain at large.
