Two Teenagers Arrested for String of Armed Robberies

Two teenagers in Vacaville are behind bars in juvenile hall after their involvement in multiple armed robberies.

Police reported that a suspect, armed with a large knife, robbed a Subway restaurant at 9:21 Saturday night. The suspect fled the scene on foot, but was later apprehended by police and found to be in possession of a cash-filled backpack, large kitchen knife and gray shirt that police believe was used as a mask during the heist.

After subsequent interviews and a search conducted at the suspect's home, the young suspect, identified as a 16-year-old Vacaville resident, was arrested in connection with three other robberies. Police reported that they discovered evidence in the suspect's house that connected him to the previous crimes.

While police investigated the robberies at the suspect's house, another teenage male was brought in for questioning. That suspect, identified as a 14-year-old Vacaville resident, was later arrested for his involvement in a Taco Bell robbery, police said.
