A UC Berkeley sophomore fell to his death after climbing up a restricted area of Oracle Arena where he was attending a concert on Halloween, authorities say.
Zachary Bradley plunged more than 20 feet Friday after scaling an elevated area behind the stage at Oracle Arena, the Contra Costa County Coroner's Office told the Contra Costa Times. Bradley was attending the Spookfest 2014 concert with friends on Halloween night.
Bradley's parents tell the newspaper that the 20-year-old from Phoenix, Arizona, was a sophomore at UC Berkeley studying to be a doctor.
His mother, Cristal Rodriguez, says police told her that her son was intoxicated.
She says she doesn't blame anybody, and that her son made a bad decision.
The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation, Oakland police Officer Frank Bonifacio said.
