Vallejo Woman Attacked With Pitchfork Over Social Media Photo

Farming tool used in real-life fight over Internet posting.

An unspecified photo on an unspecified social media network led to a most-assuredly confirmed attack with a pitchfork on Tuesday, according to reports.

Vallejo resident Xanadu Cain, 28, was arrested at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday on the 400 block of Amador Street in the East Bay city following reports of a fight, according to the Vallejo Times-Herald.

Cain "became enraged" over a photo posted online and went after another woman she knew with the farming tool most-often used for pitching -- hence the term -- hay, according to the newspaper.

Cain "poked" her victim "several times with a pitchfork," but not hard enough to cause major injuries, the newspaper reported.

She was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
