San Jose fire and Cal Fire battled a 15-acre vegetation fire near the Almaden Quicksilver County Park in South San Jose Saturday.
The fire was in the Almaden area, which is northwest of Morgan Hill off of U.S. Highway 101.
The fire threatened six homes but none were damaged. It took fire crews two hours to coral the flames.
