Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian on Highway 101 in Millbrae

All lanes have reopened on northbound U.S. Highway 101 in Millbrae Wednesday morning after a vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian on the roadway earlier Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision was reported at 4:02 a.m. just south of Millbrae Avenue. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision prompted the closure of all northbound lanes on the highway for about a half hour. The three left lanes reopened by 6 a.m. and all lanes reopened by 7 a.m., CHP officials said.

No other information about the collision, including the pedestrian's identity, was immediately available.
