Moraga Police say that recent vehicle thefts are preventable.
Moraga police advisory said that all of the thefts or attempted thefts are occurring because cars are left unlocked and unattended.
The police department has extra officers on patrol, but they are asking local residents to help.
Police want residents to lock their cars and remove all valuable from the vehicle. They said to not leave the keys inside the car under any circumstance.
