A large crowd has gathered at 27th Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Way late Friday for a vigil for a man shot and killed by police on Wednesday.
Police say traffic is being diverted around the area and drivers are urged to use alternate routes.
Police have said the shooting occurred Wednesday shortly after 2:30 p.m. when a robbery suspect crashed his car during a police pursuit and allegedly tried to carjack another vehicle and then advance on officers with a gun.
