Wait Continues on Prop. 8 in Washington D.C.

Hundreds wait for a ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court each day

Each morning the U.S. Supreme Court convenes in Washington D.C., hundreds of people wait patiently on the steps outside.

They're there for the decision on the issue of same-sex marriage and the legality of California's Prop. 8 and the wait goes on.

"It’s OK, it’s been a long process and it’s worth the wait," plaintiff Kris Perry said. "We think we'll see something good happen."

On Monday, the high court made an unusual decision to add additional ruling day, which will come Tuesday.

If Prop. 8 is shot down, San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera said there will be a 25-day waiting period until same-sex marriages can take place in San Francisco.
