Broken Water Main Sends Water Rushing Down San Francisco Street

A broken water main sent water rushing down a street in San Francisco Tuesday morning.

The water main break is located on Noriega Street near 18th Avenue in the Inner Sunset, according to the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.

Crews are at the scene trying to repair the 8-inch water main, the SFPUC said.

The break is affecting service on Noriega Street from 17th to 19th avenues and on Moraga Street from 17th to 18th avenues, according to the SFPUC.

Last week, three water mains broke in the Potrero Hill area of San Francisco.
