Wet Weather Postpones Downtown San Jose Holiday Trolley

"She was all decorated and ready to go, but the rain made rails slick and that's a no no," Valley Transit Authority said in a tweet.

The annual free holiday trolley that takes visitors to destinations in downtown San Jose was supposed to start service Friday night but has been postponed, apparently until next weekend.

"She was all decorated and ready to go, but the rain made rails slick and that's a no no," Valley Transit Authority said in a tweet Friday. "Rain is expected for the rest of the weekend, we'll try when it's dry to bring out our friend."

The Holly Trolley service is scheduled to run evenings on Fridays through Sundays between Civic Center and the Convention Center through Dec. 22, but does not operate during rainy weather. There will also be no service during events at Levi's Stadium on Dec. 6, 15 and 21.
