A white pickup truck drove into a home in San Jose on Friday morning, killing one of the people inside.
Police Officer Albert Morales said the death was reported at 10:46 a.m.in the 3200 block of Sprucegate Court.
When officers arrived, they found the truck with “extensive damage” and two men inside, Morales said.
The car was on Ruby Avenue when it crashed through a brick soundwall, careening into the backyard of the home, blocks away from Evergreen High School.
One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene. The second was taken to a hospital. No one inside the home was injured, police said, and there was only minor damage to the structure.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
