San Francisco police are searching for two suspects after several women and children were held at gunpoint and robbed near the Palace of Fine Arts.
Supervisor Catherine Stefani, who represents the Marina District, has requested more police foot patrols in the area in response to what authorities said is an unusual violent crime near the tourist attraction.
"I was just there the other day with my children and I was most surprised to hear it, and I’ve been working with police department all morning to make sure that we have additional resources out there."
Police said the suspects are described as a man and woman in their 20s. No arrests have been made in connection to the armed robbery.
