First-Ever High Sierra Hops Coming Up

The two-day experience alights at Tenaya Lodge in June.

THE HIKING SHOES, the walking stick, that one hat made of the breathable material that keeps you cool but never too cool? You know just where they all are, in your home, and you know just where you'll use them next: Yosemite National Park. Oh, maybe you'll take a swing through the Sierra foothills, before hitting Yosemite Valley, just to stretch your legs, to see some awesome trees and lakes, and to return to the world again as it reawakens for another perfect summer. If such an outing is in your plans, but you haven't alighted on the dates just yet, and you're quite the fan of well-made suds, consider pointing your walking stick in the direction of...

TENAYA LODGE, where the first-ever High Sierra Hops gathering will take place over the first weekend in June 2018. The foams at the Fish Camp meet-up will be, as you might expect, of the primo variety, with South Gate Brewing Company serving as a partner. The dates are Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2, and "(b)londs, (a)les, IPAs, and (s)touts take center stage." To kick it all off, look for "... an exclusive adults-only Beer Pairing Dinner" at the property's open-air pavilion on Friday evening. On Saturday? Swing by the pool area the family-sweet end of the event, a party that will include barbeuce, root beer floats, lawn games, live tunes, and, yep, pints and tastes from South Gate Brewing Company.

THINKING OF STAYING OVER? Super idea. There's a package for that, so get up on the prices, tickets, and everything you need to know about the inaugural suds-and-the-Sierra-foothills festivity.
