A man was critically wounded Sunday night after a fight ended in gunfire outside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, police say.

The shooting took place at about 8:20 p.m. in Lot 10, several hours after the game between the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots ended.

According to police, there were two fights on the northwest corner of the parking lot.

Police said that in the first fight, 28-year-old Marvin Rodriguez of Dallas pointed a gun at a 27-year-old man who then walked away after the gun was pointed at him.

In the second fight, a 43-year-old man fell to the ground trying to break up that fight. Arlington police said Rodriguez walked up to the man as he was trying to get up and shot him once in the neck.

The shooting victim was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The suspected gunman was arrested without incident, and officers said they recovered the firearm.

Police were working to find out what exactly led to the fight and have not ruled out alcohol as a contributing factor.

Rodriguez is in the Arlington Municipal Jail, he's charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Bond is $100,000 for each charge.

Investigators continue to interview witnesses and ask anyone who may have captured video of either of these fights to contact Detective Stellato at 817-459-5782.
