178,000 Children's Water Bottles Sold at Target Recalled Over Choking Hazard,

Zak Designs is recalling 178,000 children's water bottles that were sold exclusively at Target.

The company says the straw on the 26-ounce water bottle can become a choking hazard. So far, there have been nine reports about the inner plastic straw in the flip-top portion of the cap breaking. In seven cases, children spit out plastic fragments.

No injuries have been reported.

The 10-inch tall water bottles were sold at Target during the store's “Back-to-College” promotion from June 2015 until July 2015.

The bottles come in a variety of colors and feature animated characters on the front. Characters on the bottles include Captain America, Batman, Minions, My Little Pony, Spider-Man, Star Wars, a Superman logo, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Thor and Wonder Woman.

The company says affected bottles have "14158" and “Zak Designs®” embossed on the bottom. Bottles with a black inner straw and black cap are not included in the recall.

If you have one of these bottles, stop using it and contact Zak Designs at 866-737-1148 for a replacement cap and straw.
