2 Injured When Fuel Truck Crashes Into Plane at O'Hare

Just after 11 p.m., the fuel truck clipped a wing of a GoJet Airlines jetliner on a taxiway with 65 passengers on board

Two people were injured when a fuel truck crashed into a plane at Chicago's O’Hare International Airport late Sunday.

A fuel truck clipped the wing of a GoJet Airlines jetliner on a taxiway just after 11 p.m. The plane, operating as a United Express jet, was not moving at the time, officials said. Sixty-five passengers and four crew members were on board, an airline spokesperson said.

The driver of the fuel vehicle was transported to Presence Resurrection Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries and is said to be in good condition, according to fire officials.

A flight attendant aboard GoJet flight No. 3693 — which was headed to Omaha, Nebraska, at the time of the collision —was also taken to an area hospital as a precaution, according to the airline.

Passengers were re-booked on a different flight scheduled to depart Monday.
