Police: Accused Terrell Shooter Hoped to Kill Seven

Investigators now say the man accused of a bloody rampage in a small North Texas town that left five people dead, including his mother, hoped to kill two others.

A Terrell police affidavit said Charles Everett Brownlow Jr., had hoped to kill two others before his arrest early Tuesday morning.

Police did not reveal who the other two targets were.

The 36-year-old was arraigned Wednesday on capital murder and evading arrest charges in connection with the death of 22-year-old convenience store clerk Luis Leal. The affidavit said Brownlow stole beer from the store after shooting Leal.

Brownlow is in the Kaufman County Jail and is being held without bond. Terrell Chief of Police Jody Lay said other charges are pending.

Also killed Monday night were Brownlow's mother, Mary Brownlow; his aunt, Belinda Walker; and couple Jason Michael Wooden and Kelleye Lynnette Sluder.
