Belgium Town Search Linked to French Terror Suspect

Belgium's prosecutor told the Belga news agency that the search in the town of Kortrijk, near the French border, was connected to an ongoing investigation into Reda Kriket

Belgian and French authorities searched an area of western Belgium on Thursday as part of an investigation into a French terror suspect who was arrested last week, NBC News reported.

Belgium's prosecutor told the Belga news agency that the search in the town of Kortrijk, near the French border, was connected to an ongoing investigation into Reda Kriket.

Kriket was arrested last Thursday on suspicion of plotting an imminent terror attack and his apartment was packed with an "unprecedented" arsenal of weapons.

Officials have said the 34-year-old French national's arrest was not tied to the Brussels terror attacks.
