WATCH: Thieves Attack Man on Dirt Bike on Crowded Bronx Street

Video shows two brazen would-be thieves attack a man riding a dirt bike as he was stopped at a red light in the middle of traffic in the Bronx.

The 24-year-old man was stopped at the corner of Valentine Avenue and East 184th Street in Fordham Heights on June 5 when the two men attacked him, police said.

Surveillance video shows the man stop at the intersection before one of the men lunges toward him and grabs him, trying to pry him off the bike.

A second suspect jumps in and punches the victim in the face, causing him to fall on the street as cars try to maneuver around him.

The victim attempts to fend off the suspects, but they continue to punch him before one of them takes off with the bike.

Police were able to catch up with the suspect who tried to ride away on the bike. The second suspect fled northbound on Valentine Avenue and remains on the run.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
