Twelve boys with a youth soccer team and their coach were rescued from a flooded cave in northern Thailand, ending a weeks-long ordeal that captured national and global attention.
The boys, ages 11 to 16, and their coach vanished after a June 23 soccer game. Rescuers found the team nine days after, huddled on the floor of the flooded Tham Luang Nang Non cave, but it took rescue workers and divers an additional week to rescue the entire team. After a brief hospital stay, the boys and their coach were released and appeared healthy at a press conference on July 18.
