Anonymous Hackers Threaten to Release Names of KKK Members

The hacker collective known as Anonymous has threatened to out some members of the Ku Klux Klan, NBC News reported.

Anonymous put up a blog post Wednesday saying it "will release, to the global public, the identities of up to 1000 klan (sic) members, Ghoul Squad affiliates and other close associates of various factions of the Ku Klux Klan across the Unites States."

The KKK and Anonymous have been in conflict for a year, since the wait for a grand jury's decision whether to indict police officer Darren Wilson for the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, last November. The Klan reportedly threatened to attack Ferguson protesters at the time.
