Suspects in Custody After Wisconsin Motorcycle Repair Shop Standoff: Police

At least two people were hurt, including a police officer, after a shooting in Neenah, Wisconsin, police said

A shooting in a Wisconsin town on Saturday ended with two people in custody and at least two people hurt, including a police officer, according to the chief of police in Neenah.

NBC affiliate WGBA reports that the shooting and standoff occured at Eagle Nation Cycles, a motorcycle repair shop in Neenah, about 85 miles northwest of Milwaukee.

Neenah Mayor Dean Kaufert said an estimated 30 shots were fired. He called the shooting "every community's nightmare."

The incident began at about 9 a.m. CT when multiple shots were fired, according to WGBA. The shooting prompted police to evacuate nearby homes and businesses. The city's police department released information through its Facebook page throughout the morning.

Two suspects were taken into custody, WGBA reported. Neenah Police Chief Kevin Wilkinson said at a 1:30 p.m. news conference that the scene was secure and that there was no threat to the public, WGBA reported. An officer and civilian were hurt, he said; the officer is expected to recover.

A video posted by Phil Cianciola on Twitter showed two SWAT members armed with guns and wearing bullet-proof vests walking on the scene.

"I have not heard any gunshots, but I have been inside all morning so I am not sure. I am shaking here," an employee of nearby Gord’s Pub told NBC News, on condition of anonymity, given the danger of the situation. The employee said police were outside the pub and on the roofs of the buildings during the standoff.
