Body Pulled From Hudson River Confirmed to Be Boyfriend of Annie Lennox's Daughter: Police

Authorities confirmed Tuesday that the body recovered in the Hudson River Monday afternoon was that of a kayaker missing since Saturday morning.

Dutchess County sheriff's deputies confirmed that the body of Jones was pulled from the water near the Poughkeepsie Yacht Club.

Autopsy results revealed no signs of foul play, and the 32-year-old's death is being considered an accidental drowning until toxicology test results come in.

Jones was kayaking with his girlfriend Tali Fruchtmann, singer Annie Lennox's 22-year-old daughter, when their kayak overturned and sent both of them into the water.

The two had started kayaking early Saturday and the vessel overturned at about 10 a.m. near Mills Mansion, a historic home in the hamlet of Staatsburg. Neither was wearing a life jacket, and alcohol might have played a role in the accident, authorities said.

Fruchtmann was picked up by passersby on a boat after being separated from Jones in the water.
