Israel-Palestine Violence: Fears of a Third Intifada Put Jerusalem On Edge

Recent acts of violence between Israelis and Palestinians sparked by tensions at the Al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem’s walled Old City have raised fears of a third intifada.

Four Israelis and 23 Palestinians have been killed, including a pregnant Palestinian mother and her 3-year old daughter who died Sunday when their house in the Gaza Strip collapsed after an Israeli air strike that allegedly targeted a Hamas weapons site. About 20 Israelis and over 500 Palestinians have been injured.

The violence has parents in particular terrified, fearing for their families.
