‘No Days Off, Baby': 6-Year-Old Girl Stuns With Basketball Skills

Jaliyah Manuel's hand-eye coordination and dribbling abilities have captured audiences across the world

Six-year-old Jaliyah Manuel's got moves.

Videos of the Louisiana girl showing off her impressive basketball skills have gone viral after her parents posted them on social media.

Manuel's hand-eye coordination and dribbling abilities have captured audiences across the world, garnering more than 60 million views, according to "NBC Nightly News."

"I'm amazed. I'm shocked. We didn't know it was going to blow up like this," said Jaliyah's father, Jovan Manuel.

Her secret to success?

"No days off, baby," the 6-year-old said with a smile.

Jaliyah's parents discovered her aptitude for basketball when she was just 1. Now Jaliyah watches recorded basketball games as she falls asleep, her father said. And rather than sleeping with stuffed animals, Jaliyah prefers to "cuddle" with her basketball.

Jaliyah's commitment and love of the game scored her a chance to meet her basketball idol, LeBron James. When asked why she likes him in particular, she said he plays the game "correctly."

"And he dunks it," she added.

Earlier this month, Jaliyah appeared on the "Steve Harvey Show," where she showed off some of her basketball drills in front of live studio audience. She explained that she practices for two hours every day after she completes her homework, as well as four hours on the weekends.

"I'm going to be the first girl in the NBA when I grow up," she declared on the show.
