Man Accused of Shooting Pregnant Woman Arrested

Witness accounts and surveillance video helped lead to the man's arrest, police said

A man suspected of shooting a pregnant woman during a crime spree in San Bernardino last month has been arrested, police said Friday.

Twonn Alonzo McCoy, 28, was arrested Thursday by officers following leads that included witness accounts and surveillance video, according to the San Bernardino Police Department.

On May 29, McCoy was arguing with a woman in a car in the 1300 block of North F Street when he pulled out a gun and shot her, police said.

McCoy then allegedly robbed a nearby gas station on Base Line Street and carjacked a customer at gunpoint.

Fontana police said the Jeep he took off in was found abandoned near the scene of another carjacking that occurred in the 16100 block of Valley Boulevard.

The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

McCoy faces charges that include attempted murder, robbery and carjacking, police said.
