Police are on the lookout for the person who shot "Max"

A miniature horse in Acushnet, Massachusetts, is in need of a prosthetic leg after it was shot in the leg last week.

According to necn affiliate WJAR, police are on the lookout for the person who shot "Max."

Max's owner, Andrew Bonville, says Max needs a new leg or will need to be put down.

Bonville says Max was in the yeard at the time and that the incident couldn't have been a hunting accident.

A GoFundMe account has been started on Max's behalf.
