Pablo Antonio Serrano-Vitorino is wanted for questioning in multiple homicides on March 7, 2016.

Missouri cops were chasing a gunman Tuesday suspected of shooting three men dead and mortally wounding another with an assault rifle in a Kansas City home, NBC News reported.

Pablo Antonio Serrano-Vitorino's red Dodge Ram pickup truck was found abandoned some 180 miles east of the crime scene off Interstate 70 near New Florence, Missouri, the state police said.

Nearby, police said they found a dead 49-year-old man. They did not divulge who he was or whether he was connected in any way to Serrano-Vitorino or the carnage in Kansas City.

Col. Bret Johnson said Serrano-Vitorino may be armed with an AK-47. He did not say where Serrano-Vitorino, who is 36 and lived next door to the victims on the Kansas side of Kansas City, was headed.

Investigators have not released the names of the dead in Kansas City.
