Philly Police Officers Meet Train Derailment Survivor Again – This Time, To Celebrate

A group of Philadelphia police officers who pulled a man from the wreckage after an Amtrak train derailed in the city's Port Richmond neighborhood in May met the survivor they helped again on Sunday.

This time, it was for a happy occasion: The derailment survivor, Nick Ritrivi, is a Giants season-ticket holder. He invited the three police officers who carried him from the derailment scene -- Officers Dan Cosme, Tim Stephan and Clarence Manson -- to the Meadowlands to watch their home team take on the Giants, Stephan said.

The heart-wrenching photo of the three officers carrying a dazed Ritrivi made national news in the wake of the May 12 derailment, which left eight people dead and more than 200 injured.
