The winning Powerball numbers were drawn at 10:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, for a jackpot of about $524.1 million.
The winning white balls were 02-11-47-62-63, with a Powerball of 17 and a Power Play of 3.
If a winner is declared, the prize money will have a pre-tax cash option of $306 million in one take, or $500 million paid out over 29 years, after taxes.
The odds to win the sixth-biggest lottery jackpot in the U.S. stand at one in 292.2 million, but that didn't stop many from feeling like they'd win it all.
"I'm just so excited because this is my first time and I feel that I will hit," said Michael Hammond in Dallas. "I really do."
Six states allow winners to remain anonymous: Maryland, Delaware, Kansas, North Dakota, Ohio and South Carolina.
