Truck Left Hanging Off I-595 Ramp After Crash

Footage showed the cab of the truck on its side, hanging over the off-ramp

A truck was left dangling off an Interstate 595 off-ramp following a rush hour crash in Broward County, Florida, Wednesday.

The crash happened on the off-ramp of I-595 westbound at the Florida's Turnpike.

Footage showed the cab of the truck on its side, hanging over the off-ramp. The truck's trailer was on the ground below.

Florida Highway Patrol officials said the truck was carrying sand, and the crash spilled diesel fuel on the road. They added that it looked like the truck took the curve too fast.

Officials said the driver wasn't injured and no other vehicles were involved.

"The timing and location for this, he's very fortunate where he did roll over and turn over, that it wasn't right over the wall," FHP Sgt. Mark Wysocky said. "It's very fortunate, you figure at 4:40, right during rush hour he loses control Of a tractor trailer and doesn't hit any other cars."

The crash had the southbound ramp to 595 closed and caused some delays.
