Wife Pulls Husband From Debris After Tree Falls on Home

"He was asleep on the far side of the bed, and we were both awakened when stuff started falling," said Beth Sinclair

A Bethesda, Maryland, woman pulled her husband from debris after a tree toppled onto their home, causing the roof of their bedroom to cave in.

The incident occurred early Sunday morning during a windstorm that ravaged the area. Beth Sinclair told media outlets wind caused the tree to fall on top of her bedroom, where her husband, Mark Morgan, was sleeping. She said the debris knocked him out.

"He was asleep on the far side of the bed, and we were both awakened when stuff started falling," Sinclair said. "I've got like bumps on my head and stuff, but he was actually unconscious and stuck under stuff."

Sinclair said she pulled her husband out of the rubble and was able to carry him downstairs until help arrived. Morgan was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.

Sinclair's daughter, Emily Morgan, said she's very proud of her mother.
