“Lost” Star Staying In Hawaii For “Five-0” Remake

"Lost's" Daniel Dae Kim will continue to work in the Aloha state – the actor has been reportedly cast in CBS' "Hawaii Five-0" remake.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kim will play Detective Chin Ho Kelly, which was first played by Kam Fong in the original series.

The role of Detective Steve McGarrett is currently up in the air, but "Moonlight" star Alex O'Loughlin is reportedly in talks to play the part.

"Fringe" co-creators Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and "CSI: NY" executive producer/co-showrunner Peter Lenkov will be at the helm of the remake.

Kim, best known for his role as Jin Kwon on "Lost," is the first lead from the ABC series to land a new project.

Like his hit ABC series, which ends its six-season run in May, "Hawaii Five-0" will film in Hawaii.

The original "Hawaii Five-0" ran for 12 seasons from 1968-1980.
