Anne Heche escalated the war of words with ex-husband Coley Laffoon on Wednesday, complaining to David Letterman that the father of her little one was a needy, greedy egomaniac who still craved her attentions.
"Can you say 'lazy ass' on TV?" Heche asked when Letterman brought up her ex.
The 40-year-old “Hung” star admitted her choice of words was “terrible,” then launched another round of insults, People reported.
On what Laffoon, a videographer, does for a living: "He goes out to the mailbox and he opens up the little mailbox door and goes, 'Oh! I got a check from Anne! Oh! I got a check from Anne! Yay!' "
Heche told Letterman that Laffoon’s decision to coach Homer’s soccer team must have been a ploy for her attention too – and she hated it.
"Honestly, I don't want to come to rehearsal and watch you run around in your tight shorts like trying to pretend you know how to play soccer,” she said. “I divorced you! I don't want to hang around with you Thursdays and Saturdays and maybe on Sunday."
The pair, which ended their five year marriage in February 2007, has endured a very public and nasty custody fight over 7-year-old son Homer.
Heche has accused Laffoon of being addicted to “porn, poker and money,” while Laffoon has called Heche is “unstable,” according to People,.
