Apple is close to buying Beats Electronics, a headphone maker founded by rapper Dr. Dre and music producer Jimmy Iovine, for $3.2 billion, NBC News reported. Beats also runs a streaming music service, leading some to believe that Apple, which is the single largest seller of songs, is looking to start an on-demand music service of its own. The purchase of Beats would be Apple's largest acquisition ever.
