Ansari and McBride Reunite Before Even Starting First Film Together

With filming on their first joint venture still weeks away, Aziz Ansari and Danny McBride have signed on for a second feature together.

Details on the project are scant -- no title, not plot -- but Deadline Hollywood reports that the film comes from a pitch by Ansari and 30 Rock writer Matt Hubbard, and that Harris Wittels will write the screenplay.

Ansari and Wittles know each other well, having worked together on both "Parks ad Recreation" and the MTV sketch comedy that launched Ansari's career, "Human Giant."

McBride will next be seen alongside Natalie Portman, James Franco and Zooey Descahanel in David Gordon Green's medieval stoner epic "Your Highness," while Ansari has a role in "Get Him to the Greek," the "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" spin-off starring Russell Brand and Jonah Hill.

Later this summer, Ansari and McBride will team up with "Zombieland" director Ruben Fleischer for the pizza deliveryman comedy "30 Minutes or Less."
