Bone Adventure in Orange County is Like Spring Break for Dogs

Check out the happiest pool-diving pups at Bone Adventure Swim Club in Costa Mesa.

The swim club is an outdoor, temperature controlled salt water pool specifically designed for a pool day with man's best friend. The pool has a dog dock that your pup can dive off of and supervisors watching the pool so your pet can safely splash around.

Zack Klasky, the swim club supervisor, said the pool is perfect for all types of dogs.

"We have a 50-foot pool that has a shallow end for the more shy dogs that haven't had a lot of swim experience," said Klasky. "Then we also have a deep end that dogs like labs especially love to jump in."

The dogs are required to have a swim assessment done by supervisors before they get into the pool. This is to make sure the dogs don't need any additional assistance like a life jacket.

"We want to assess where they are experience-wise and comfort-wise," said Klasky. "A lot of beginners will wear life jackets, a lot of the more dense-barrel chested dogs won't."

Owners can even get in on the fun and come out into the pool area.

"We have customers coming out here and playing with their dogs," said Klasky. "Then we also have a little coffee bleacher area where they can stay dry behind the windows."

Besides the swim club, Bone Adventure also has a daycare, grooming and boarding. While your dog is at daycare, Klasky said you can schedule for your dog to go to the pool during certain times.

"They can play with us while they are here even if you can't be," Klasky said.
