‘One in a Million' Gunshot Credited With Saving Deputy's Life

The deputy shot directly into the barrel of a robber's gun, disabling it

An off-duty Colorado sheriff's deputy has been cleared of any wrong-doing in a shooting that happened in January.

Deputy Jose Marquez was visiting his girlfriend's apartment when two men tried to rob him and started shooting, NBC affiliate KUSA reported.

Marquez was hit several times but fired back. One very lucky bullet likely saved his life.

He shot directly into the barrel of the robber's gun, disabling it.

Jimmy Graham of the Active Shooter Response Training Center calls it a "one in a million shot."
