Appeals Court Strikes Down Oklahoma Gay Marriage Ban

A federal appeals court struck down Oklahoma's ban on gay marriage on Friday in a 2-1 vote, but put its ruling on hold to give the state a chance to appeal. There was no immediate word from Oklahoma officials on whether they will appeal. The same court last month struck down Utah's ban on gay marriage and the state plans to ask the U.S. Supreme Court to review the 10th Circuit ruling, setting the stage of the high court to weigh in on the issue.
