“Good Morning America” Weather Anchor Lists Luxe Crib

The skies are no longer sunny on the Upper West Side for Good Morning America weather anchor Sam Champion. The Kentucky native is looking for a change and hoping to decamp downtown, but not before he unloads his grand 2,000-square-foot penthouse located at 45 West 67th Street.

Champion, who often begins his 30-second weather report by saying, "Let's get to the boards," has lived in the luxe home since 1996. Champion's penthouse, on the market for a whopping $5.5 million, is located on the 33rd floor and boasts a great room with two private terraces and an entrance gallery. Private quarters include 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The penthouse features gigantic windows with views of the George Washington Bridge to Central Park to the Hudson River. In fact, Champion remarked, "The views and the light in the apartment are incredible. I'll miss that," reports The Wall Street Journal.

Not only is Champion a noted meteorologist, but he even has a New York indie rock band named after him. We never knew life as a weather anchor could be so glamorous.
