Jim Parsons Is the Egg On Our Face

The Most Annoying Man in the Universe was rewarded for his efforts for his craft's top prize, the Outstanding Lead Actor In a Comedy Series Emmy.

"Thank you, thank all of you. Some of you apparently voted for me - that was very sweet," said Parsons in accepting his first Emmy. He then went on to make the perfunctory -- but totally sincere -- rounds of praise for his cast, writers, etc...

"To get to work on this character is beyond fortunate," Parsons added, before thank his "people" and family.

Like Stonestreet's sober appearance at the top of the show, it was in some ways a testament to what good work Parsons is doing on "Big Bang." We're not exactly fans of the show, but Parsons' Sheldon Cooper is a creation fully-formed distinctly different from the man himself. High five, Jimmy.

We had picked Alec Baldwin of "30 Rock" (we didn't really have a choice), but Parsons was our second choice.
