LAPD Senior Detention Officer Dies From Complications Related to COVID-19

A senior detention officer with the Los Angeles Police Department has died due to complications with the novel coronavirus, the department said Saturday.

Officer Erica McAdoo lost her battle with the virus on Friday, the LAPD said in a statement.

As of Saturday, the department had 287 employees at home after being exposed to or testing positive for COVID-19, the LAPD said.

No other information was immediate available.
