Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and her fiancé Jionni LaValle welcomed their first child, Lorenzo Domini. Snooki sported a tiny baby bump during the shooting of Season 6. Seeing as she promptly stopped her party lifestyle and ceased drinking alcohol and tanning, we're wondering just how exciting this final season will be?

Speaking of the lovely guidettes, for Snooki and JWoww, summer doesn't end at Seaside Heights. Their spinoff show, "Snooki & JWoww vs. the World" takes them to Jersey City, and will continue for a second season.

Deena was arrested in June 2012 for disorderly conduct in Seaside Heights (where filming for the new season is underway). A borough officer saw Deena "a little intoxicated," standing in the middle of a street and slapping cars that drove by.

Vinny Guadagnino leaves the house — at least temporarily — in the second episode of Season 5. Vinny mulls his options with Pauly D and Ronnie before ultimately packing his bags. The self-described "quiet guy from 'Jersey Shore'" said in an interview that he wasn’t “mentally healthy” after coming off of filming in Italy. You're not alone there, Vinny.

In April 2011 MTV announced a "Shore" spinoff that will examine the lives of Snooki and J-Woww, and another that will follow DJ Pauly D as he tours the country. The spinoffs will likely debut in 2012.

Snooki popped up in an unlikely place last year: a bookstore. The pint-size star published her second book, "Confessions of a Guidette," in October 2011. In the memoir/guide, Snooki shares the ins and out of the being a guidette ("Your hair should make you six inches taller"), and provides keen insights such as the difference between a guido and a gorilla.

No house drama could ever come between best bros Vinny and Pauly D, who put on a "guido-theme" comedy show in Season 4. The inseparable wingmen schemed to hook up with as many girls as possible in Florence, but they discovered Italian girls aren't as easy as Jersey girls.

Snooki, The Situation, Pauly D, Vinny, Deena, Sammi, JWoww and Ronnie headed "back to the Motherland," where their new "job" had them peddling pies for a local pizzeria. But the shop's neighbors weren't fans. "Jersey Shore? No thanks," read a sign in a pizzeria across the street. "Only real Italian pizza."

But the new drama did not disappoint. Snooki crashed a car, a blow-out between Ronnie and The Situation left The Sitch on a stretcher, and there were even sparks of a romance between Snooki and The Sitch. "It takes something really bad to happen in this house," J-Woww said, "to realize how much we love each other." How much worse could it get?

Vinny had big plans for Florence. "There's a lot of things I want to accomplish in Italy. I want to learn Italian. I want to master the language. I want to find a nice, real, traditional Italian girl," he said on the trailer. But it looks like Vinny and Pauly D, who admitted before season four he's clueless about real Italian food, were left cold by fine dining.

Production for Season Four was delayed because producers reportedly had a tough time securing filming locations in Tuscany. Residents were said to be outraged by the show's depiction of Italians. We can't imagine why.

But the city did make its biggest treasure, Renaissance art trove the Uffizi, off-limits to the "Jersey Shore" crew. Instead, Ronnie got to work handing out fliers. How cultured!

The roads in Italy got a little safer when Snooki had her international driver's license revoked after she crashed into an Italian police car — an escort car for her and the rest of the "Jersey Shore" cast at that — and injured two Italian cops.

For Season 3, the gang went to back to Seaside Heights, N.J., where fans of the fist pump and disciples of the most holy order of GTL got exactly what they wanted.

Season 3 kicked off with a new addition to the house: Deena Nicole Cortese. Had it not been for her friend Snooki, this South Jersey girl might have become a dental assistant. Instead, the 23-year-old joins Snooki and the rest of the gang for a new season of drunkenness and “smushing."

Cortese replaced much-maligned former roommate Angelina Pivarnick, who said pranks and verbal abuse — mostly from The Situation and Snooki — drove her from the house. She told Us Magazine that, among other things, her castmates had put olive oil and grated cheese in her bed.

New housemate Deena Cortese fits right in. Cortese told the New York Post about getting naked in front of The Situation on the season premiere. "I was drunk and trying to show off my bathing suit," Cortese said. "I was so drunk I didn't realize that I took off my bottoms with my skirt. I was mortified."

Season 3 was filled with lots of drama. Snooki was being filmed for the new season when she was arrested for annoying beachgoers. Her attorney acknowledged that Snooki had been drinking and was shooting scenes for the show when she tripped some beachgoers.

Initially after being arrested, Snooki told MTV News she was “too pretty” for jail. That didn't stop the star from being booked into a Seaside Heights jail, where she posed for these mug shots. Before fining her $500 and giving her two days' community service, a judge accused her of "acting like a Lindsay Lohan wannabe."

The Situation made moves with dancer Karina Smirnoff on the hit ABC dance competition "Dancing With the Stars." The couple made it to the final three. In his exit speech, Sorrentino said he was happy to have lasted as long as he had on the show, and to have proved he’s a more complex character than some might assume.

J-Woww said goodbye to her clothing line, Filthy Couture. The line known for cut-outs and plunging necklines saw trouble over trademark issues. Radar Online reported that after a company with a similar name (our guess: Juicy Couture) threatened legal action, Filthy was forced to close.

Reality TV's biggest ladies' man is looking to settle down. "I would love to find 'Mrs. Situation,' love to!" the star told Access Hollywood. The Situation spent most of the first season "creepin'" girls and bringing them back to the hot tub. He even found himself in a "situation" with roommate Snooki.

Snooki had a ball on New Year's Eve. The pouffed reality star was dropped at midnight during MTV's New Year's Eve celebration at the cast's infamous Seaside Heights, N.J., digs. The giant glass ball had "Snooki" emblazoned in lights across the diamete. Snooki said she was going to feel "like a friggin hamster" during the stunt, according to USA Today.

Snooki is more than just a reality star or a hamster in a ball. The "Jersey Shore" guidette is now an author too. "A Shore Thing," in all its pun-ny glory, chronicles the beach adventures of "pint-size Gia," a "carefree, outspoken party girl" at Seaside Heights, N.J., as she and her cousin look for hunky Italian love. While Season 3 was airing, the cast had time to explore their next career moves. Vinny Guadagnino, who once dreamed of law school at Yale, is now considering acting. “I’m interested in acting, more than anything,” he said. “So I want to dedicate that time to getting coached and getting auditions."

Ronnie was indicted for a bar fight he had in 2009. The grand jury said the 25-year-old reality TV star knocked a man out with a punch on Sept. 4, 2009, when the show was being filmed in Seaside Heights. While the punch wasn't shown on the show, Ronald "Ronnie'' Ortiz-Magro was seen bragging about it.

The tanned cast became the most popular Halloween costume idea of the year. Many of the stars said they were flattered that folks wanted to dress-up as them for Halloween. Paul Del Vecchio, a.k.a DJ Pauly D, just had one simple request: "Don't mess up the hair, fellas."

The cast was happy to return to New Jersey where the show started."In Miami, it was a little wild," The Situation admitted to Hollywood Gossip. "But we're back in New Jersey now and you have that sense of being comfortable, because we're back home. I really think this season is hilarious."

Snooki found herself at the center of the season's most controversial moment when she was sucker-punched in the face by a fellow bar patron on the boardwalk. MTV chose not to air the graphic footage, which turned buzz over the show into a boil.

Jenni, a.k.a. "J-Woww," came down the shore from Franklin Square, New York. She couldn't get enough of boardwalk life despite having a boyfriend back home. "It's juicehead central right now," she said in Episode 9, "and I'm in heaven."

J-Woww loved to grind on the dance floor, especially with fellow castmate Pauly D. Fortunately for him, the flirtation came to a grinding halt. According to Jenni: "I am like a praying mantis; after I have sex with a guy I will rip their heads off."

28-year-old Pauly D is the elder statesman of the group. When the DJ from Johnston, Rhode Island, wasn't on the dancefloor with castmate J-Woww, he was spinnin' the tunes for the crew's signature dance move: the fist pump.

Pauly D also served as The Situation's wingman throughout the show, being forced to creep on some less-than-desirable ladies. In Episode 8, Pauly picks up a girl who starts "stalking his whole life." Pauly says: "She's mad weird, that chick."

Pauly D got a nomination for America's Best DJ and continues to play parties. He recently told Access Hollywood he would choose being a DJ over reality TV star if he had to pick one profession.

Then there's Vinny from Staten Island. The 21-year old who called himself a "mama's boy" seemed like such a nice young man compared to the rest of the gang.

But even a mama's boy can get into trouble. Cameras caught nice guy Vinny creepin' on The Situation's sister, who paid the crew a visit at their seaside digs.

Angelina "Jolie" Pivarnick of Staten Island left the show early during Season 1 because of supposed drama back home, but not before making an impression as an outspoken firecracker. But the spunky brunette reunited with the cast for Season 2, only to leave again.

When she was forced to work at a T-shirt shop on the boardwalk, Angelina was very vocal with her discontent: "I feel like this job is beneath me. I'm a bartender," she said, "I do, like, great things."

Sammi "Sweetheart" Gincola is a real Jersey girl. The brunette cutie, who grew up down the road in Hazlet, got lucky in love with castmate Ronnie, and the two were seemingly inseparable for the summer.

Ronnie turned out to be the not-so-gentle giant. He won the honor of dating and breaking up with Sammi but became embroiled in some all-out brawls with bar patrons on the boardwalk.

But from the looks of this paparazzi pic, it appears the couple got back together (at least for a day) while soaking it up in Miami during Season 2.

In Episode 8, Ronnie knocked out this poor fellow and screamed triumphantly, "That's one shot. That's one shot, kid!"

That "one shot" landed Ronnie in the Seaside Heights slammer for aggravated assault.

Two people who were allegedly roughed up by Ronnie are suing him and the show's production company. The accusers claim both Ronnie and the show profited from the violence.

Ronnie's not the only one to get smacked with a lawsuit. A Chicago woman recently filed suit against MTV, Snooki and J-Woww for assault. The woman claimed the rowdy "Jersey Shore" gals, while shooting part of Season 2 in Miami, roughed her up on the dance floor.

Even Sammi "Sweetheart" got mixed up in legal trouble. A Miami woman paraded a black eye in front of television cameras and said Sammi was responsible. Florida authorities threw out the case for lack of evidence.

In the months since Season 1 closed shop, the cast has gone from unknowns to mega-watt stars in high demand.

When Season 1 ended, the gang hit the talk show circuit, showing us their on-screen antics were no act. They really are this brilliant all the time. Here the group hangs out on the Rachel Ray show.

On a visit with Jay Leno on the Tonight Show, the self-proclaimed "guido/guidette" crew admitted they did not know who "Old Blue Eyes" was. Leno smacked his head in disbelief.

On the George Lopez show, Snooki was given the title "honorable Latina," because, as George said, "you can take a punch, girl."

And on Jimmy Kimmel, the crew traded their tans for white powder to do a 'Twilight' skit.

Not only has the cast been doing the talk show circuit, but they have also appeared in just about every magazine since they've became household names.

After Season 1, the ladies got a lesson in etiquette from socialite Tinsley Mortimer and charm school instructor Lizzie Post. The Jersey girls got pointers on hair, posture and cleavage for a Harper's Bazaar magazine shoot earlier this year.

After the fellows popped up together on the cover of the Village Voice's Queer Issue, they insisted it did not bother them. "As long as I look good," said Vinny, "that's all I care about."

We're sure their photo shoot with model Bar Refaeli for Interview magazine REALLY didn't bother them.

The crew has also been taking advantage of the entrepreneurial opportunities that have presented themselves since they've become celebrities.

Snooki, most definitely the female breakout star of the season, has taken advantage of her time in the limelight to promote herself and her distinctive hairstyle.

I'm actually coming out with my own hair product line. It's going to be called the SnookIt, and I'm going to have shampoo, clips, hairspray — you name it."

Snooks claims in the latest issue of Steppin' Out magazine that a couple of the castmates are left feeling a bit resentful since she, The Situation and J-Woww have been the most in the spotlight. "I can understand why the others might be jealous. They aren't doing anything, but they should still be happy for me."

Snooki and pal J-Woww even talked about pairing up to cash in on the celebrity sunglasses market: “I want to do sunglasses with her," Farley said.

The name of her line — Filthy Couture — came from the fist-pumping beats that everyone on the show loves: "We all listen to the same type of music, which is house music, and everyone on the show says 'filthy beats' and that's where I kind of came up with it.”

Even the official "Jersey Shore" 16-song soundtrack includes DJ Pauly D's original single "Beat Dat Beat (It's Time To)."

In between seasons, Pauly D applied to have his name trademarked. The Situation, J-Woww and Snooki have all taken similar steps.

Pauly D is not the only musician of the bunch. The Situation dropped a track this spring entitled, of course,"The Situation." In it, he rhymes over hip-hop beats: "What the hell are you looking at, can a DJ get it in like that?"

Five weeks before the first episode of Season 1, Mike was filing for unemployment, the New York Daily News reported. Now he's shaking hands with the stars.

Mike put his name to a fashion label too: Dilligaf, which is an acronym for "Does It Look Like I Give a"—well, you get the idea. This family photo shows what The Situation's idea of fashion was like just a few years ago.

'The Situation' Sorrentino also plans to release a workout DVD and a self-help book.

Not everyone appears to be a fan of the group however. Alyssa Milano criticized them for being bad influences. "Alyssa Milano? What's the last thing she's done, 'Who's the Boss?'" Ronnie said to Us Weekly. "It's like, who's the boss, now, Alyssa? We've got 5 million viewers."

Also, NJ Gov. Chris Christie spoke out about how the show is tainting the Garden State's reputation. The Republican governor said the series doesn't depict how the state really is. For starters, most of the over-tanned, over-gelled stars aren't even from Jersey.

Jersey Shore mania doesn't fade quickly. The entire spray-tanned crew (excluding Angelina 'Jolie' Pivarnick) signed contracts for a third season despite rumors they were holding out for more money.
