Mom Charged With Killing Son With Autism “Heard Voices”

The Oregon mom charged with throwing her 6-year-old son with autism off a bridge to his death Monday night had been "hearing voices" and was due to see a doctor to adjust her medication the next day, her brother-in-law told NBC News. Relatives say 34-year-old stay-at-home mother Jillian McCabe suffered from mental illness for more than two years and snapped due to difficulties with caring for the non-verbal child, her husband's life-threatening illness, and the death of her father. McCabe has been charged with murder and manslaughter after allegedly taking her son, London, for a walk, throwing him into Yaquina Bay, and calling police to tell them what she had done.
