Authorities have identified most of the victims in Wednesday's head-on crash involving a church bus, a tractor-trailer and an SUV in east Tennessee that left eight people dead and 14 more injured — most of them passengers on the bus, carrying worshipers from a North Carolina church to a gospel retreat in Gatlinburg. Of those killed, one was church bus driver Randy Morrison and five more were its passengers: his wife Barbara, as well as Cloyce Matheny, Brenda Smith, Marsha Mclelland and John Wright, all of them ranging in age from 62 to 95. Another 12 church bus passengers were injured. Also killed were Trent Roberts, 24, a passenger in the SUV the bus hit. The SUV's driver and other passenger were also injured. The tractor-trailer driver was also killed but has not yet been identified. On Thursday, the NTSB said it was not investigating the deadly crash because the government shutdown has furloughed all its highway investigators.
