“'70s Show” Actress Lisa Robin Kelly Dead at 43

Lisa Robin Kelly, who rose to fame in the role of Eric Forman's older sister Laurie on "That '70s Show," died Wednesday at age 43.

"Unfortunately, Lisa Robin Kelly passed away last evening," Kelly's agent Craig Wyckoff said in a statement. "Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years. I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her. Last night she lost the battle."

No cause of death had yet been determined, Wyckoff added.

The Connecticut-born Kelly played Laurie (older sister to the character played by actor Topher Grace) on the Fox comedy's first two seasons before taking a two year break from the production. She returned in a non-regular capacity during the fifth season. The role was recast with another actress for the sixth season. "That '70s Show" aired from 1998 to 2006.

After leaving the series Kelly revealed to ABC News that she lost a baby during her time on the series and as a result, " I lost everything and I was abusing alcohol."

"With 'That '70s Show' I was guilty of a drinking problem, and I ran," she added.

Kelly had numerous brushes with the law over the past three years. In June, she was charged with parking on an active freeway near Burbank, Calif. In March of 2012, she was arrested on a felony charge of corporal injury upon a spouse and released on bail. The L.A. County district attorney declined to file charges in that case. In 2010, Kelly pled guilty to misdemeanor drunk driving, earning her a night in jail and a year of unsupervised probation.

In November 2012, Kelly and her husband Robert Gillam were both arrested for assault after a disturbance at their North Carolina home. They were later released on bond.

In June Kelly had filed for divorce from Gilliam citing irreconcilable differences.
